The best way to work with keeping your grey hair is to add in darker lowlights; falsifying the grey into making them part of an interesting mix. Otherwise rinse a semi-permanent toner throughout to soften the ash tones of grey hair; gently turning it into a soft warmer shade.

I am 40 now & would desperately love to cover up my grey hairs - predominantly around my ears & in my fringe!
Unfortunately I have a serious problem & it is that I am allergic to the chemicals in semi & permanent hair colours. Last year I visited an Aveda salon, had it coloured but then suffered a severe reaction - blisters on my ears, red & itchy, seeping scalp & it took about 2 months to fully heal! Never again…
Previously to that I had a reaction 2 years before when I had my hair streaked with foils.. to try & avoid a reaction! It seems to be hormonal & since the birth of my daughter who is now 4 years old.
PLEASE can you give me any advice? What do you think of using Henna as an alternative? Are there any other suggestions? I am really not keen at the thought of going grayer!!
